OLOO

Arrivée en France, après une enfance passée au Cameroun, elle commence à rédiger des poèmes dès l’adolescence et s’oriente plus tard vers des textes intimistes au verbe acéré. En 2010, elle entame son parcours musical, d’abord en tant que choriste pour le guitariste et chanteur camerounais Franck Biyong (elle est présente sur l’album Ki I Ye Yi, 2012), puis après un passage dans un groupe de reprises funk et soul, elle intègre brièvement la formation reggae Jah Prince & The Prophet en 2016.

C’est néanmoins à la suite de jams parisiennes et de rencontres musicales lors d’un séjour californien en 2017 que Oloo prend son envol en tant que chanteuse soliste avec ses propres textes. Grâce à son réseau familial, elle fait la rencontre des londoniens A.N.G. (beatmaker / Hayce Lemsi) et Bobbi Zion (ingénieur son / A-Star - Kupe Dance).

Arriving in France after growing up in Cameroon, she started by writing poems as a teenager and then progressing to intimate spoken word. In 2010, her journey to the music world began by being back up singer to Frank Biyong (featuring in his album Ki I Ye Yi, 2012) followed by a short period with a funk and soul group and finally training with reggae group jah prince and the prophet.

Nevertheless, Oloo starting gaining recognition as a solo artist after jam sessions in Paris and a trip to California where she met with other musical influencers. Thanks to her family network, she got the chance to meet ANG (beatmaker / Hayce Lemsi) et Bobbi Zion (sound engineer / A-Star - Kupe Dance).
